CtrlS raises ₹7,000 crore at $4.8 billion valuation to chase India’s AI data centre boom

“We have never used fresh water in any of our data centres, except our oldest data centres, which have a capacity of around 3-5 MW. There, unfortunately, we cannot change the mechanism. All our new and future data centers are air-cooled, which is energy intensive. But there also needs to be energy consumption; look at every major sector in the modern world, like aviation or automobile, and every essential infrastructure is heavily energy consuming. We are investing in green energy plants to finance energy draw. Pinnapureddy says this is both for in-house green energy operations as well as for Noida and It was concluded through power purchase agreements with distributors in Pune and also through National Thermal Power Corp, he said.
