Defence Force facing sexual violence allegations; Victorian Premier to visit synagogue
Former citizen leader Barnaby Joyce warned that Australia’s relationship with the United States ‘does not go well’, Prime Minister Anthony Albanian is preparing to travel to China this week, but has not yet held a meeting with the United States.
“This is very dangerous. This is very dangerous,” Joyce said Sunrise This morning.
Joyce, “You need to understand that the US is the cornerstone of our defense relationship. It does not go well, this is the fourth meeting with the leader of China, but this is a totalitarian regime. Mr. Trump has not yet had a meeting with the prime minister. I am really worried about this issue,” he said.
“If we can’t take the meeting between the Prime Minister and the US President, we’re on the bad ground.”
However, Sunrise, Social Services Minister Tanya Plibersek claimed that Australia’s relationship with the United States was worn out.
Plbersek, “Prime Minister spoke to the president on the phone, Defense Minister recently met with his colleague, Foreign Minister recently in the United States … The United States is absolutely basic defense and security partner. The relationship is great,” he said.
