Pam Bondi Gives Trump Bad News When He Asks Her To Discuss Alleged Grand Jury Probe: ‘We Can’t, Legally’

Minister Donald Trump He asked the Chief Prosecutor Pam Bondi talk about reported grand jury investigation against Sen Adam Schiff (D-CA), only to be told he couldn’t Do this legally.

NBC News in August reported Sources at the Justice Department say grand jury will investigate Schiff and New York Attorney General Letitia James for potential mortgage fraud in separate cases. James was charged two weeks ago.

The president took questions from reporters at the White House on Thursday, and one of them asked about Schiff.

“There is a grand jury report on Adam Schiff for apparent mortgage fraud,” the reporter said.

“Wow,” Trump said.

“Should he resign as a U.S. senator if indicted?” the reporter continued.

Here is the change that occurred:

TRUMP: You know, I’m not going to comment on that. I can only say that Adam Schiff is one of the most despicable scumbags I have ever encountered in politics. He is a terrible person, a very dishonest person. I have no idea what’s going on. You’re telling me he’s to blame. I don’t know. You can ask Pam. I don’t know if he could say it. You’re probably allowed to say that, but I don’t know about it. I can only tell you that he is a very – very bad person, I think he is actually a sick person.

[To Bondi] Do you want to talk about this?

BONDI: We will not be commenting on any open grand jury matters. Legally we can’t.

TRUMP: I don’t know. By the way, I hope it’s true, but I don’t know anything about it.

Some people in the room laughed as Trump moved on to the next reporter.

MSNBC earlier in the day reported He said the U.S. Attorney in Maryland told the Justice Department he did not believe there was a basis to prosecute Schiff.
