Deodorant brand issues apology after users left with ‘rashes, bumps and burning’ | UK | News

Mitchum, the popular deodorant brand, had to apologize after consumers reported their skin irritation. Tiktok users reported rashes, impacts and burning of Mitchum’s 48-hour Roll-Cerred Anti-Cerrahi and Deodorant. The brand confirmed the problem that it says it was linked to a change in the production process affecting one of the raw materials used.
A certain group of products sold in the UK, Ireland and South Africa was produced using this new method, but Mitchum has now returned to the original process. The company confirmed that no other product in its range is affected and said it was trying to remove the affected products from shelves.
Customers who have problems were asked to contact Mitchum UK’s customer service team.
A Mitchum UK spokesman said: “Some customers are aware of the reports of 48 hours of 100ml Roll-Rol-O Perspirant and Deodorant to choose the groups sold in England, Ireland and South Africa.
“No other product is affected in our portfolio. Consumer welfare is always our priority, and we are really sorry that some of our customers have temporary irritation. This is not the experience they expect from us.
“We take such feedback very seriously and we have worked hard to investigate the case.
“We want to make sure that there is no change in the formula of our products, but we have determined a change that affects one of our raw materials in the production process.
He continued: “We are trying to remove the small amount of the product on the shelf now. In addition, we have returned to the original production process to ensure that no other party is affected.”
