Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay ‘spark backlash after banning public from historic church for entire day to host their 90-minute wedding ceremony’

Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay reportedly sparked outrage after banning members of the public from entering a historic church on their wedding day.
The 30-year-old Olympic swimmer and the 25-year-old model are scheduled to marry at Bath Abbey on December 27, and the milestone is reportedly closed to the public for the entire day.
Accordingly SunThe ceremony itself will only last 90 minutes, but the couple allegedly block-booked the convent so no other weddings could take place.
While security has been deployed around the site to prevent onlookers from taking photographs, tourists are expected to be denied entry.
While the cost of renting the abbey for a wedding usually costs around £2,500, it’s thought the couple will pay several thousand more to secure exclusive use of the venue.
The decision was not well received by the local population; one local told the publication: ‘It seems pretty selfish to rent out the monastery for the whole day when your wedding ceremony is only going to take about an hour and a half.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Adam and Holly’s representatives for comment.
The toxic family feud that has overshadowed Holly’s impending wedding to Adam was brushed aside as she dined with friends at her father’s Mayfair restaurant on Monday evening.
Peaty’s mother, Caroline, was disqualified from military service following an increasingly toxic and disturbing public row that began in November when she was not invited to her soon-to-be bride’s hen party.
As guests arrived before the ceremony, Ramsay dined on shrimp and caviar-covered sushi at Ramsay’s Lucky Cat restaurant; A luxury meal from the ‘chef’s table’ here costs up to £180 per person.
The influencer was joined by Eve Winnington, wife of Australian swimmer Elijah Winnington and the couple’s close friend.
Winnington shared several photos of her pre-wedding dinner on Instagram, as well as a bathroom selfie with Ramsay.
The bride-to-be appeared to opt for a healthy £135 seafood platter on the night, with a selection of sushi, salty edamame and sweet and sour prawns adorning her table.
Peaty stunned his followers last month when he revealed he hadn’t invited relatives to his wedding after his mum Caroline wasn’t invited to Holly’s lavish hen do.
A notice on Bath Abbey’s website states that the restaurant will be closed on Saturday, the wedding day.
A year ago, on December 27, it was open from 10 am to 5 pm and had an exhibition.
The toxic family feud, which is currently overshadowing Holly’s upcoming wedding to Adam, was brushed aside as she dined with friends at her dad’s Mayfair restaurant on Monday evening.
The surprising family feud began when news emerged that Adam’s mother had not been invited to Holly’s hen-together; There he was joined by his mother Tana, Adam’s sister Bethany and Victoria Beckham at Soho Farmhouse.
In the wake of this snub public troubles arose, with shocking allegations on both sides; This includes claims that Holly and Adam forced Caroline to choose a different outfit for the wedding because they didn’t like her choice.
Tensions between the two families reportedly began during Holly and Adam’s engagement party, which was filmed for Gordon’s upcoming Netflix documentary.
Gordon was filmed over nine months opening five new restaurants in London, while juggling his personal life.
The engagement party, which took place last December, will see Holly and Adam in happier times with his family, before their toxic effects took hold and Adam invited all but one of his relatives from the wedding.
However, according to The Sun, cracks were starting to show at that time as Caroline had many complaints about the party.
The bride-to-be appeared to have opted for a healthy £135 seafood platter on the night, which included sushi, salty edamame and sweet and sour prawns on her table.

A source told the publication: ‘Adam’s family were at his engagement party at a time when relations were much better. Things went downhill from there.
‘His mother was unhappy that some family members were not there and did not confront Gordon at the event.
‘Guests were made to sign confidentiality agreements and hand over their phones while the party was being filmed.’
It was also revealed that Peaty’s sister, Bethany, was the only member of the family to survive the bitter crisis ahead of the wedding.
There was a huge backlash from the Peaty family after Adam’s aunt Louise berated her niece and fiancée Holly in a series of Instagram comments.
He later claimed that his sister Caroline was not invited to their wedding because of her appearance and not having the right “look”.
But one member of Peaty’s family appears to have survived the row – Holly’s sister Bethany, who made the cut for the excellent Cotswolds chicken.
The Sun reported that the real reason Bethany took the cut was because she was “blonde and beautiful” so she would “fit in” with the glamorous world of the Ramsays.
They claim Bethany was turned off by the celebrity lifestyle and was asked to be one of Holly’s bridesmaids.
A friend close to the family told the publication: ‘Bethany was always very close to Adam and was really impressed by the celebrity lifestyle, her head turned away by all the glitz and glamor.
‘He was so happy to be at his hen party, hanging out with Victoria Beckham, and couldn’t wait to tell all his friends about it. It really suits the world of glamor; blond and very beautiful.’
