Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had a great 2025.

He and his wife, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld, married in June and announced last week that the two are expecting their first child together. Not to mention, he started the year by being awarded the NFL MVP award.

Allen expressed appreciation for how he has developed as a person since arriving in Buffalo in 2018, how his life has taken him from a small town in California to Wyoming, to the NFL, and to the brink of leading a championship-starved city to a Super Bowl appearance.

“Yeah, I guess it’s like the evolution of life,” he said Wednesday. “I consider this my home. This is where I grew up. And this is where I’ll raise a family. It’s really cool.”

As work-life balance becomes more stringent, the Associated Press noted an interesting comment he made during “Monday Night Football” in October. She was asked what Steinfeld taught her during their relationship. “Maybe I’m more than a football player,” he replied.

Allen confirmed to the Associated Press that Steinfeld’s pregnancy affected her response.

“I’m overjoyed, absolutely overjoyed,” he said, confirming that he knew he was going to be a father before the ESPN interview took place.

Allen is a three-time Pro Bowler and is coming off an MVP season. While he’s done enough to warrant back-to-back MVPs being talked about, Allen has given up on that notion heading into Week 16.

“I’m just trying to do my job, try to find a way to get into the playoffs here,” he said.

Beating the New England Patriots last week from 21 points down was a good first step. Buffalo has had its ups and downs all season long, but the team appears to be on its way with four wins in its last five games.
