Motorists are facing heavy delays following a crash that blocked a key section of the M62 outside Huddersfield.

The collision was reported on the westbound carriageway at junction 23 of New Hey Road at 2.14pm today (Friday, January 23).

Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: “All traffic is being temporarily stopped and queued due to a crash on the M62 westbound at J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield).”
