Edinburgh Airport live: All flights suspended due to IT issue affecting air traffic control

Many flights have been canceled or diverted, according to airports’ live departure and arrival dashboards.

Some passengers reported being stranded on planes on the runway.

A spokesman for Edinburgh Airport said passengers should contact their airline for any updates.

Edinburgh Airport suspended all incoming and outgoing flights following disruption to air traffic control.

The statement said: “Due to an IT issue with our air traffic control provider, no flights are currently operating from Edinburgh Airport.

“Teams are working on the issue and will resolve it as soon as possible.

“We will provide updates when available; please contact your airline for the latest information regarding your flight.”
