Chilling selfie shows man on railway seconds before train killed him | UK | News

It was reported that a man who took a selfie on the railway line died. The 32-year-old was hit by a high-speed train in Laksam, Bangladesh, on Sunday morning. The picture shows tuk tuk driver Mohi Uddin standing dangerously close to the steel rails. When he steps onto the Dhaka-Chittagong railway line, it becomes clear that he goes to Bagmara market.

According to the information obtained, witnesses told the local press: JagoNews24 Uddin reportedly stood on the tracks to take a selfie and posted it on his Facebook account. However, others say Uddin was talking on his phone while standing near the railway line. A few minutes after this a train hit him, killing him instantly. The collision took place on the busy intercity Bagmara Dudh Bazar ring road.

Authorities think the accident was caused by carelessness.

The police are preparing to hand over the body to the family after the legal procedures and autopsy are completed.

Police said Uddin was most likely hit by a train from Noakhali to Dhaka that passed through the station around 7.30am.

However, Uddin’s death is not the only incident that occurred due to people taking selfies.

Andrey Retrovesky, a 17-year-old from Russia, loved taking risky photos on tall buildings and structures until one day, while climbing with a friend, he fell and died.

A young man who could not resist taking selfies in dangerous situations died by falling from the roof of a high building.

The fatal incident occurred in September 2015 in the city of Vologda, when Andrey and a friend climbed to the roof of a nine-storey building.

The two were trying to take a photo that would make it look like Andrey was falling off the roof.

During the performance, the rope that was supposed to tie him to the building broke, causing him to fall to the ground.
