Encounter breaks out between security forces, terrorists in J&K’s Kishtwar

Officials said that a gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in Kishtwar district on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
According to officials, the encounter began after the Jammu and Kashmir Police, with the help of the Indian Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), launched a joint operation in Chhatru district based on certain intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists. A coordinated search operation was launched in the early hours of the morning, after which security forces opened fire and gunshots were exchanged.

“The operation continues,” he added.
