England World Cup stars suffer vile racism that is ‘out of control’ | UK | News

England World Cup stars were subjected to online racism, which Sir Sadiq Khan said was “out of control”. Messages were published on social media about Arsenal’s wingers Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke, who won the Premier League championship, Tottenham Hotspur’s full-back Djed Spence and Real Madrid’s midfielder Jude Bellingham. Here’s a post from @_UTD_Mickey: “Saka Get out now, Fiend!!” @king18347532 claimed he was “so overrated” and then called the striker a “fucking nigga”. Another post from @tapera_david suggested Spence was “trying too hard to please his master.” He later called him a “Typical House Negro” who “doesn’t belong in Jamaica or Kenya, but instead plunders the British as British.”
@PaddyLeven called Bellingham a “black bitch.” “He needs a good kick to kick the nigga,” the account added. In a different post from @king18347532, he told Madueke to “quit football **** nigga!!!” It was said. The Mayor of London posted on X: “Someone has to say this.
“The amount of racism on this platform towards World Cup players, including the England squad, is out of control.
“We cannot allow a silent minority to divide our nation.
“Much of this content is illegal and Ofcom needs to investigate.
“Solidarity is aimed with every player. We are one.”
It comes after social media star Angry Ginge said she was being abused online for “opposing racism” during England’s group match against Ghana.
I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! The winner, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, said he asked the referees to help him eject a man he accused of making racist remarks from Boston Stadium, but the referees did not take action.
He added that this was “not good enough”.
He later said in an Instagram post: “This is what standing up to racism gets you? What kind of world do we live in?”
England will face Mexico in the round of 16 in Mexico City at 1am on Monday.
Bars were allowed to be open until 5 in the morning so that fans could enjoy watching the match.
If the Three Lions win, they will face either Brazil or Norway.
