Everyone’s profiting because stock market is up

WASHINGTON, July 1 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump said on Wednesday it had nothing to do with his personal finances, a day after reporting that his family had made more than $1.4 billion in revenue from crypto ventures.
He said many people are making profits because of the rise of the US stock market.
“I’m not involved in this… We have the funds to put my money to work,” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews as he prepared to fly to North Dakota.
Financial filings, 2025 annual statement to the US. The Office of Government Ethics showed his companies received almost $800 million from World Liberty Financial, a crypto startup he and his sons co-founded.
Of this income, which the president shares with family members, more than $520 million came from the sale of crypto tokens and more than $250 million from the sale of shares in the World Liberty business.
“Do you know why I’m making a profit? Everyone’s making a profit because the stock market is rising,” Trump said.
