Primal Scream: Rock band reported to police over alleged antisemitic imagery at London concert

Rock band Primal Scream has been accused of displaying “extremely anti-Semitic” imagery at its London concert.
The Community Safety Trust (CST) reported the Scottish band to police after a video showing the Star of David intertwined with a swastika was shown on stage on Monday.
This background could be seen while the band was singing their songs from 2000. Swastika Eyes‘ during a one-off gig at Camden’s Roundhouse.
CST, which provides protection for Jewish communities in the UK, said it was “horrified” and called for an “urgent investigation” from the scene.
In a statement shared with the Press Association, a spokesperson said: “The Star of David intertwined with the swastika implies that Jews are Nazis and risks encouraging hatred against Jews.
“There needs to be an urgent investigation by the venue and promoter into how this happened and we have reported it to the police.”
The band, founded in 1982 by frontman Bobby Gillespie, was performing the 25th anniversary show for their album XTRMNTR.
While the group is performing Swastika EyesImages of political figures, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, appeared behind them, showing what appeared to be a Star of David with a swastika in their eyes.
A Roundhouse spokesman said: Daily Mail He was investigating the incident.
The statement said: “We have been made aware of the alleged use of content shown during Primal Scream’s performance at the Roundhouse on Monday, December 8th.
“We are investigating this matter, but we have not yet been able to prove the claim.
“We take any instance of antisemitism extremely seriously.
“Any act of hatred, discrimination or prejudice is completely unacceptable and has no place in our society or venues.”
Primal Scream has been approached for comment.
