The Atlanta Falcons used their bye week to find the right answers after defeating the Buffalo Bills 24-14 on “Monday Night Football.”

The Falcons improved to 3-2 on the season, while the Bills suffered two losses right after starting the season 4-0.

While it was the Falcons’ explosive offensive plays that contributed to this victory, it was equally important that their defense was able to handle Bills quarterback Josh Allen on Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Allen was sacked four times, the most by any team this season; Not only did the Falcons put pressure on the backfield, they also made sure he couldn’t get away for big rushing yards.

However, the standouts will certainly have the Falcons’ offensive stars, running back Bijan Robinson and wide receiver Drake London, leading the way after their generous contributions on that side of the ball.

Robinson rushed for 170 yards on 19 carries and his 81-yard field goal broke this game wide open in the home team’s favor. The play came right after Allen was sacked for a 15-yard loss on third down and the Bills were forced to punt. Robinson wasted no time, finding a hole at the line of scrimmage and leaping to the right where Cole Bishop couldn’t get him out of bounds, and it was off to the races.

But before Robinson’s magic, London was being tackled as he caught a nine-yard pass from Penix near the goal line and stretched his long arms out with the ball for six points. That gave the Falcons back the lead they had thanks to a first-play carry by Tyler Allgeier for a 21-yard touchdown run on the opening drive.

Allen also managed to find Dawson Knox for the opening kickoff, but they were forced to punt four consecutive times before throwing an interception near the end of the first half. It was an uncharacteristic performance for the Bills’ offense, but their defense made adjustments in the second half to keep them in the game.

Allen tried to pull off a miracle on the next drive, but was ejected after a pass in the red zone as the Falcons celebrated their win.
