Famously anti-MAGA Bruce Springsteen stuns crowd by PRAYING for Trump’s safety after Correspondents’ Dinner shooting

Bruce Springsteen shocked fans after his usual message of condemnation of the President was replaced by prayers for his safety following the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The 76-year-old artist began his show by acknowledging that he was grateful that Donald Trump and no one else were harmed after a gunman attempted to attack a dinner party Saturday night.

“We begin tonight by praying for our men and women abroad, praying for their safe return,” the musician said Sunday at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

‘We also pray for gratitude that our President, the administration and no one who attended were injured in the incident that took place at the Press Correspondents’ Dinner last night.’

Springsteen, a longtime Democrat who opened Joe Biden’s private inauguration and has been a vocal critic of Trump, added: ‘We may disagree.’

“We can criticize those in power and fight peacefully for our beliefs, but there is no room for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States of America,” Springsteen told the crowd.

The E Street Band frontman has been giving fans a call to action at the end of shows every night since the start of his Land of Hope and Dreams tour, which kicked off on March 31, according to My Central Jersey.

‘Find a way to take aggressive and peaceful action to defend our country’s ideals, and as the great civil rights leader John Lewis said, ‘Go out and get in trouble,’ Springsteen said.

Earlier this month, the President took a shot at the musician, calling him “very boring” and looking like a “prune.”

Trump wrote the Truth Social post on April 2 after Springsteen attacked Trump at a concert in the Lake City, calling him “reckless, racist, and a traitor.”

“Bruce Springsteen, the bad and very boring singer who looks like a dried prune and has suffered greatly from the work of a truly bad plastic surgeon, has long suffered from a terrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes called TDS,” Trump wrote.

The president added that Springsteen was a “complete loser spewing hatred” towards him, before listing some of his accomplishments in office.

Trump concluded: ‘MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT THEIR HIGH PRICE CONCERTS, HOW BAD. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. AMERICA IS BACK!!!’

The President and First Lady had to be evacuated from the dinner Saturday night before guests had a chance to eat their entrees.

The ballroom was packed with the nation’s top journalists, Hollywood celebrities and Cabinet members, including Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and FBI director Kash Patel.

The incident occurred at the hotel where President Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981; This was an eerie historical parallel that did not go unnoticed by those in attendance.

Terrified participants hid as best they could as they anxiously awaited news.

Still wearing his tuxedo, Trump addressed the nation just two hours later. ‘When you are effective, they come after you,’ he said defiantly. ‘They think he’s a lone wolf. ‘We won’t let anyone take over our society.’

A Secret Service agent was shot during the incident but is expected to recover. The President said the agent “was shot at very close range with a very powerful weapon and [bulletproof] vest did the job.’

“I just talked to the police officer and he’s doing very well,” Trump added.

The White House confirmed the dinner would be rescheduled in 30 days and promised a ‘bigger and better’ event.
