Farage delivers brutal 4-word verdict on Green Party’s Zack Polanski | Politics | News

Nigel Farage has come out all guns blazing against Green Party rival Zack Polanski, branding his political rival “Jeremy Corbyn”. The Reform UK leader hit out at Mr Polanski’s remarks, made just before voters across England will elect more than 4,850 councilors in local elections on Thursday (7 May).

Reform is predicted to deliver major gains against both Labor and the Conservative Party, but the Far Left-led Green Party and more central Liberal Democrats are also expected to see a bounce. Mr Polanski took potshots at Mr Farage’s bow on April 29 when he claimed the Reform leader was “scared” of a one-on-one debate.

But following the Golders Green terror attack on the same day, Mr Polanski was forced to issue a humiliating apology after re-posting criticism of Met Police officers’ use of force to arrest an armed suspect who allegedly stabbed two Jewish men. Mr Polanski has faced criticism from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley, as well as from his own party.

Speaking to The Sun, Mr Farage said “the mad left has finally been unmasked”.

He added: “It’s clear that Zack Polanski is a butcher shop to Jeremy Corbyn. He should never be allowed near his party’s tools of power.”

Jeremy Corbyn, known for his far-Left ideals, has led Labor to its worst-ever defeat since 1935, when they were thumped by Conservative Boris Johnson in the 2019 general election.

Mr Farage is not alone in calling out Mr Polanski’s antics over yet another attack on London’s Jewish community. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said: “I think Zack Polanski is a ridiculous person who says a lot of things he doesn’t actually understand.

“The Green Party can choose whoever they want as leader, but that’s one of the reasons why I say there’s only one party at the moment that is serious, that’s working on plans, that understands what people are going through and is working on solutions to solve them, and that’s the Conservative Party.

“The Green Party has a lot of cool ideas, like legalizing heroin and LSD, that would actually destroy communities in this country.”

In an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Today program on Saturday, Sir Keir defended the two Met officers against criticism over the terror arrest and branded Mr Polanski “disgraceful” and “unfit to lead any political party”.

Mr. Polanski’s original post about X accused the officers of “repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head” who was already incapable of administering a shock.

Alleged attacker Essa Suleiman, 45, is accused of trying to kill Shloime Rand, 34, and Norman Shine, 76, during a knife attack on suburban streets in north London.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning and was remanded in custody.
