Missiles, drones and warships: Iran threatens to wipe out US from Middle East | World News

Iran-US tension: As tensions continue to increase in the Middle East, Iran issued a new warning to the USA. The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces announced that the country will respond decisively to any threat, conspiracy or excessive demand. He said even a single attack on Iran would trigger a powerful counterattack aimed at eliminating the US presence in the region. Citizens were asked to attend rallies commemorating the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and to emphasize national unity during the threat.

Iran’s warning also made reference to Israel. Reacting to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent visit to the United States, which was seen as pressure to take military measures against Iran before any diplomatic agreement is considered, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei warned that external pressures that undermine diplomacy will have consequences. He added that the United States must act independently, away from external influences, to avoid further regional damage.

Diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran have so far failed to reduce tensions. Negotiations resumed in Oman after the talks failed following Israel’s air strikes on Iranian targets in June last year. Subsequent US attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities led Iran to target Israel and major US military bases in the Middle East.

The region now resembles a powder keg. The United States deployed the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group, supported by three battleships and a submarine. US forces were reinforced at regional bases, with Patriot air defense systems and fighter jets on high alert.

Iran responded in kind, deploying large numbers of drones and missiles ready for immediate action. He made clear that any US attack would be met with a full-scale response. Iran’s foreign ministry has warned that American military facilities in the Middle East could be targeted.

The US has bases in at least eight countries, from Qatar to the UAE and Oman.
