Wedding expenses, car purchase among Rs 19 lakh spending disclosed by Ram Temple donation theft accused

According to the report, Shukla was taken into custody, taken out of jail and interrogated at the Reserve Police Lines in Ayodhya. During questioning, he allegedly told investigators that a significant portion of the money was distributed among family members and friends or spent on personal purchases.

According to the report, investigators alleged that Shukla spent around 6 lakh rupees on the wedding celebrations of one of his brothers, while he gave 5-6 lakh rupees to his other brother. Police also seized a car worth around Rs 3.5 lakh which he allegedly bought using this money.
Shukla also allegedly transferred around Rs 2.5 lakh to a friend and gifted an expensive mobile phone to the same person. Smaller amounts were allegedly distributed to several other individuals.
Police interrogated Shukla’s two brothers and seized documents related to the investigation. TOI reported. Authorities are also examining the land purchased in the name of his brother Abhishek Shukla in 2024 and are also examining the bank accounts that allegedly received the transferred money. Legal action was initiated to recover the money transferred to different people.

It was also reported that Abhishek Shukla questioned his one-time accomplice Anukalp Mishra about the source of the money, but Mishra allegedly gave an evasive answer and warned him not to pursue the matter further.
