FCC approves $8 billion Paramount-Skydance merger

The Federal Communication Commission cleared a $ 8 billion merger path on Thursday Very big and Skydence media.
The agreement, which was announced more than a year ago, includes the CBS Broadcast television network, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon channel.
“The Americans no longer trust the old national news media to report to the old national news media in a complete, accurate and fair way,” Federal Communication Commission President Brendan Carr said. “It is time for change. So I welcome Skydence’s commitment to making significant changes in the CBS broadcast network, which once contributed.”
Carr said that Skydence has made written commitments to ensure that the new company’s programming has various perspectives throughout the political and ideological spectrum. Skydence also said that a third -party neutral stranger will hire a third -party foreigner to report to the president of the new company to evaluate prejudice complaints.
