Whaleback Golf Course upgrades approved as deal is set to bring the driving range above par

They work to shine the WhaLeBack Golf Facility in Parkwood, with a contract for the first stage of the long -awaited renewal.
The Canning Council city voted unanimously to give a employment contract to Schlager Group at a special meeting on July 1.
Driving range building, new entertainment compartments, construction of the kitchen and harmony, and renewal of new toilets.
Other approved upgrades include focus and more upper technology to reduce the number of balls flying from the range.
The works are expected to increase their work life to 35 years and its value to $ 7.4 million.
Deputy Mayor Mark Bain said that there were several false starts with renovation but because of “situation detection”.
“This project is not only a high -quality facility, but also a much greater effort to make a future alternative resource that can help balance rates,” he said.
A council report, the work of the city’s golf entertainment will allow the benefit of the demand, he said.
“Raising the driving range is critical to comply with the long -term income increase of WhaLeBack, diversifying the user base and adapting to the tendencies that arise in golf entertainment,” he said.
Schlager Group was between six offers for work. Among the past projects are the upgrades in the Litis Stadium.
The only golf field in Canning, Whalyeback has always been a public course, but only in December 2023 has assumed the responsibility of the city administration.
The business case was kept confidential for the promotion of WhaLeBack.
