Queen Elizabeth II Elizabeth’s new royal biography reveals the various ways Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have upset her; This includes the fear of being secretly recorded by the couple. Author Hugo Vickers wrote a biography in which he claimed that the monarch would have wanted her maid of honor to remain with her during meetings with her grandson.

The author of Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History says: “The distress that the Sussexes caused the Queen in the last years of her life cannot be ignored.” Daily Telegraph Mr Vickers wrote that the late Queen was worried about meeting Harry and Meghan in person due to fears of leaks.

Mr Vickers said: “Basically trust had been broken. So I guess having someone in the room was to stop them taking photographs or telegraphing or God knows what.”
