Former JPMorgan banker who sued his female boss over claims she made him office sex slave ‘turned down enormous sum to settle case’

A former JPMorgan Chase banker who sued his female boss, alleging he turned her into his office sex slave, has turned down a $1 million settlement, according to reports.
Chirayu Rana, 35, is suing his former boss, Lorna Hajdini, 37, accusing her of using her position to sexually and racially harass him, claiming he drugged her.
Hajdini denies the allegations, and an internal investigation conducted by JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) found no evidence of wrongdoing on his part.
However, according to sources speaking to the Wall Street Journal, America’s largest bank offered Rana $1 million to settle the case; This was equivalent to Rana’s earnings for two years. Instead, he asked for $11.7 million to settle the case, sources told the Journal.
Insiders reportedly said the bank hoped the deal would avoid the media circus currently surrounding the case, and Rana’s salacious case has been the talk of much of the internet since the Daily Mail broke the news last week.
In a statement to the Journal, JPMorgan said: ‘We sought to reach an agreement to avoid the time and expense of litigation and to support an employee threatened with the reputational damage now occurring.
‘We continue to believe there is no basis for these allegations, and the new information emerging as a result of the public filing only strengthens that conclusion.’
The Daily Mail has contacted the bank for further comment.
According to reports, 35-year-old EX-JPMorgan Chase banker Chirayu Rana, who filed a lawsuit against his female boss for allegedly sexually harassing her, rejected a $1 million settlement from the company.
News of the alleged settlement offer came after Rana reopened his lawsuit on Monday with updated allegations; these included allegations that Hajdini, a managing director in JPMC’s Leveraged Finance division, tried to force her into a threesome and threatened her career if she did not comply.
Hajdini, a managing director in JPMC’s Leveraged Finance division, was accused of forcing Rana into ‘nonconsensual and degrading sex acts’ over several months, despite Rana’s pleas for him to stop.
Rana alleges that her former boss drugged her with the date rape drug Rohypnol and Viagra and scolded her when she cried during an encounter when he performed a sex act on her against her will.
She said in court records that Hajdini, who she also claimed subjected her to racist abuse, once threatened to destroy her career when she rejected his advances, including allegations that he came to her home and demanded sex.
The lawsuit also accuses JPMC of enabling the alleged misconduct upon the banker’s tip and retaliating against the banker; He claims the firm placed him on involuntary leave, damaged his reputation and allowed threats against him to continue while Hajdini and others went unpunished.

A spokesperson for JPMC said an extensive internal investigation found no evidence to support Rana’s accusations.
“After an investigation, we do not believe these allegations have merit,” the representative said. ‘While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and refused to provide facts that would be central to supporting her allegations.’
According to Rana’s complaint, allegations of harassment against Hajdini began soon after the two began working together in the spring of 2024.
Rana said he joined as Senior Vice President and Director in March 2024, and Hajdini was appointed to lead the team the following month.
In early May 2024, Rana alleges Hajdini dropped her pen on the floor next to her desk, and as she bent down to pick it up, he rubbed her leg and squeezed her calf.
He claims he then said: ‘Oh, you played basketball in college? ‘I love basketball players, they make me so wet.’
Rana claims that from this point onwards the advances became more noticeable and frequent.
In late May, Rana said in his complaint that Hajdini invited him out for drinks but he refused.
Sources questioned the accusations of the case and expressed sympathy for Hajdini due to the public scrutiny he faces and the potential damage to his reputation.
In response he is alleged to have said: ‘If you don’t fuck me soon I will destroy you, never forget, I own you.’
Rana claims Hajdini twice propositioned her for oral sex in the office and once asked: ‘Is it the brown boy’s birthday BJ? ‘My little brown boy.’
While Rana claimed she continued to resist his advances, Hajdini allegedly threatened professional retribution, saying she had to start ‘pleasing’ him if she wanted to be promoted to executive director, according to the lawsuit.
Rana claims he told her during a business social event at a private members club, “You’re going to have to earn this, my little Arab pushover.” During the same incident, he claimed the woman repeatedly groped his crotch under the table and spit on his hands, moving them towards her neck and head.
Eventually, Rana claims the alleged harassment escalated into sexual assault, which Hajdini denies.
After Rana filed the lawsuit last week, it was removed from court before his lawyers reopened the case with updated allegations, including two unnamed witnesses who claimed to have seen Rana and the manager together.
In a statement released through his lawyers, Hajdini vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
Rana, together with his parents above, filed the lawsuit anonymously on the grounds that he and his family were receiving threats, but his identity has now been identified by multiple bank sources.
“He never engaged in any inappropriate behavior with this person and did not even go to the location where the alleged sexual assault occurred,” his lawyer said.
Since Rana’s case spread on social media, several JPMorgan employees have rushed to Hajdini’s defense.
“He tainted her with something completely fabricated,” one said.
However, the alleged victim continues to use his weapons. Rana’s lawyer insists his client was the victim of ‘horrific sexual abuse’ and therefore reserves the right to present his allegations anonymously.
“Regarding Ms. Hajdini’s predictable denials, I look forward to appearing and, in particular, to testifying,” said her lawyer, Daniel Kaiser. ‘Abuse happened and we will prove it.’
He told the Daily Mail that the case was removed from the court record last Thursday because it was not filed with the proper paperwork and was sent back to his office for correction.
On Monday, the case was reintroduced, along with the testimony of two sworn witnesses. According to Rana, the names of the witnesses and Rana’s names were redacted for their protection, although they were disclosed to the parties in the case.
In his statement, an alleged witness said that they were staying in an apartment with Rana in September 2024 and were woken up at night by a woman who was ‘clearly drunk and talking loudly’. Rana later identified the woman as Ms. Hajdini, according to the statement.
JPMorgan Chase in New York vehemently denies all allegations against it. Rana claimed his team had a culture driven by racism and antipathy towards Asians
“A short time later I was awakened by Ms. Hajdini, who was completely naked,” the witness wrote. ‘Mrs Hajdini sat on the sofa and lit a cigarette. He then asked me to come with him to his bedroom and “join them.” I told him no. “Come join, come join,” he said. ‘I told him no again.’
The witness said Hajdini then told them: ‘You know, my [Rana]so you’d better come and join in.’
They refused again, according to the file, and Hajdini returned to the bedroom and closed the door.
The witness said they heard from inside Rana “loudly begging” Hajdini to “stop and leave”.
‘He fell silent. Then, after a while, [Hajdini] The witness said in the case file that he left the bedroom and left the apartment.
The second alleged witness said Rana told him in mid-2024 that a woman in the office was ‘making his life hell’ and that he later saw Hajdini kissing Rana’s neck and grabbing her, looking uncomfortable.
Additional new exhibits include an affidavit in which Rana says he was diagnosed with PTSD in October 2025 and attributes it to the alleged attacks, as well as a letter from his counselor confirming that he was receiving treatment for PTSD.
The Daily Mail contacted Kaiser for comment on reports that his client rejected a $1 million settlement.
