Former Mead executive, local leader dead at 83

A former local business leader died.

Former Vice President of the former state affairs in Mead Corporation, Ron Budzik passed away on September 12 at the age of 83. Online death announcement.

After graduating from the University of Dayton in 1963, he joined Mead.

Budik was the vice president of the state affairs from 1983 to 2002.

Buddzik served in several boards and committees. This includes Dayton Early College Academy (Deca), Dayton, Sinclair Community College, Montgomery County Transport Improvement Zone and Citiplan Dayton 20/20.

“From then on, one of the most visible heritage was to help the empty Rike -Lezzarus building into Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center – a symbol of the cultural life of Dayton and a symbol of the renewal of the city.”

Budzik received the 63th Citizen Legion Honor Award from Dayton President Club.

A monument mass is planned on October 11 at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Dayton.
