Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin Reveals Stranded American Soldier Has Already Been Missing for 15 Hours

Chief national security correspondent for Fox News Jennifer Griffin American crew member still stranded in Iran after fighter jet crash appears to have already been killed missing Somewhere around 15 o’clock on Friday afternoon.

Anchor Track down Gallagher he asked Gryphon He will give him the latest developments at 3:00 p.m.

“Trace, we have learned that there was enemy fire during the rescue of one of the crew members who was successfully rescued following the downing of an F-15E in the southwestern province of Iran. This is the first time we have learned that there was enemy fire targeting at least one aircraft in addition to a helicopter that was part of the rescue mission. However, it would be wrong to say that another aircraft or helicopter was shot down during the rescue mission. This is not true,” Griffin continued.

By the way, what we have learned since we started reporting on this hours ago is that the F-15E flew late at night on Thursday night. It was dark outside. It was late at night Eastern time when it was shot down. So it was still dark in Iran at that time. It was early in the morning but still dark when the pilots had to jump. One member of the crew was rescued and is currently under treatment.

The US military took responsibility for this rescue. We saw visuals of special operations helicopters called Pave Hawks being refueled in that area. When it clears, we realize they are part of the search and rescue effort for the missing crew member, as well as the rescued crew.

“And real quick, Jen, just the timeline here. So you’re saying this happened Thursday night US time, which means the missing pilot has been missing for about 12, 14 hours. Is that a fair assessment, Jen?” followed Gallagher.

“I’d say longer than that. If our time was late at night, you know, we’re getting close, I’d say yeah, maybe 15 hours less,” Griffin replied. “But again, it was early hours in Iran. Iran is seven and a half hours ahead of us Eastern Standard Time. And so it got dark, but we saw footage of daytime search and rescue efforts as we continued to search for missing crew member Trace.”
