Fuel rush in parts of Hyderabad on April 27, dealers say adequate stocks available

Nearly a month after fuel supply was disrupted in Hyderabad due to panicTemporary closures were again witnessed at many petrol pumps in the city on Monday morning (27 April 2026), as long queues of vehicles on main roads spread into traffic and outlets struggled to cope with the sudden increase in demand.

At the Bharat Petroleum outlet in Shaikpet district, dense crowds were seen as early as 9 am, with two-wheelers and cars lining up outside the premises and on adjacent roads. Employees soon began restricting entry, and within an hour the station stopped allowing additional vehicles. Several nearby pumps followed a similar approach and around 10.30am most outlets in the area temporarily ceased operations due to low stock.
