Full list of top 10 richest people in the world as Elon Musk nears trillionaire status

This October has been a crazy year, with six of the ten richest people on the planet witnessing a change in their fortunes, resulting in a change in their position on the billionaires list, according to Forbes.

Technology billionaire Elon Musk continues to maintain his place at the top since May 2024 with his fortune of $ 497 billion. He had a brief brush with a $500 billion fortune twice this October, making him the first person to achieve that kind of fortune, albeit briefly.

But that’s not all for Elon Musk, who is set to become the world’s first trillionaire in the next decade; Tesla shareholders approved Musk’s extravagant pay package, giving him up to $1 trillion in additional stock.

Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg had his worst October; His fortune fell by an estimated $29 billion, dropping him two spots on the list and helping Amazon’s Jeff Bezos boost his ranking.

For the first time in years, Warren Buffett did not make the top 10 list as his fortune fell by $7 billion. Buffett’s 10th place is now occupied by Dell Technologies’ Michael Dell.

However, the 10 richest people are all men, each with a fortune of $155 billion or more. Forbes also noted that nine out of ten of these men were Americans, with the only non-US citizen being Frenchman Bernard Arnault.

According to Forbes, the 10 richest people in the world as of November 1, 2025 are as follows:
