Furious Donald Trump issues ANOTHER horror threat to Iran | World | News

Donald Trump has threatened to bomb Iran “at a much higher level and intensity” if they go beyond the terms agreed with the US to end the ongoing war. In his statement on the social media platform Truth Social, the US President said that Operation Epic Rage would end if Iran “agrees to deliver what was agreed upon”, which he described as a “big assumption”.

Writing about the latest developments, Trump added that the US blockade would also “allow the Strait of Hormuz to be OPEN TO EVERYONE, including Iran.” He said: “If Iran agrees to deliver what was agreed upon, which is perhaps a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Rage will end and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Strait of Hormuz to be OPEN TO EVERYONE, including Iran.” However, the US President also gave a chilling warning to Iran.

He added: “If they do not agree, the bombing will begin, and unfortunately it will be at a much higher level and intensity than before. Thank you for your interest in this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

His comments came just hours after Axios reported that the United States and Iran were close to a deal that would end their two-month war.

Citing two US officials, the news outlet reported that Washington expects responses from Tehran on several key points within the next 48 hours, which will form the basis of a one-page memo.

The one-page memo is being used as the basis for talks and will include both sides lifting restrictions on passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

“Nothing has been agreed upon yet, but sources said this is the closest the sides have come to an agreement since the start of the war,” Axios reported.

On Tuesday, just two days later, President Trump announced he was pausing the “Freedom Project” “for a short period of time to see if the agreement can be completed and signed.”

The project would involve the US military “guiding” merchant ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian state media derided the move, calling it a “retreat” after what it described as Mr. Trump’s repeated failure to deploy U.S. naval power to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
