Game maker Ubisoft founder killed in France plane crash

The founder of global gaming company Ubisoft and the producer of Assassin’s Creed was killed in a plane crash in western France, authorities said.
Claude Guillemot, the company’s co-founder and president of the Guillemot Foundation, died in an accident, Ubisoft said in a statement to the Associated Press.
He did not give a detailed explanation.
The Cessna plane carrying Guillemot and one other person crashed in a field Friday evening just before landing at La Baule Airport on the Atlantic coast, an airport official said.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because their names were not allowed to be disclosed publicly.
Local media reported that both people on the plane were killed.
Guillemot and four brothers founded Ubisoft in 1986.
Ubisoft’s games include the popular Assassin’s Creed series, as well as the Just Dance and Rayman and Tom Clancy game series.
