Gary Barlow, 55, announces ‘with a heavy heart’ he cannot repeat Circus tour for a third time due to age-related challenges as he says he ‘physically can’t do this show again’

Gary Barlow has revealed Take That will not be able to repeat their energetic Circus tour for a third time, emotionally admitting he ‘physically cannot’ perform the show.
The 55-year-old singer recently completed the big-budget reprisal of Take That’s famous 2009 tour, The Circus, which wowed crowds across the country.
After the final show in Dublin on Saturday, Gary made an emotional statement to X, admitting that age-related difficulties were keeping him from doing the same tour again.
But he said the tour with Howard Donald and Mark Owen was his ‘best yet’.
Gary wrote: ‘Best tour ever; It is to say something at #circuslive on the 35th anniversary of our career.’
He later added: ‘And another round comes to an end. Somehow this feels a little different.

‘It’s always comforting to know that there will almost certainly be a next time on other tours. But I’m pretty sure this tour won’t be returning.
‘I was 38 when we first did this show and I have to say doing it as a 55-year-old is a whole different challenge.
‘I don’t see any way I could physically do this show again.
‘So, with an extremely heavy heart, I leave the Circus in my past. I had to run away with The Circus twice.
‘Now I’m running towards our next exciting, brand new show.’
During the tour, Gary also impressed fans by showing off his impressive “glow” after showing off his muscular physique by wearing a black vest while performing his new single Sweet July with bandmates Howard and Mark.
It’s no wonder Gary looks good, having previously revealed he’s doing everything he can to prepare for the Circus Tour, which starts in May.
In December, the singer revealed on Instagram that she was at luxury wellness clinic Lanserhof at The Arts Club, where annual membership starts from £6,500 plus a £1,500 joining fee.
In one snap, Gary could be seen running on the treadmill in casual workout clothes, wearing a VO2 max mask.

Another showed him running again, this time with the caption ‘6 months away from going on Circus Tour’ along with a clown and muscular biceps emoji.
He later shared a photo of himself with a tube in his arm, appearing to be having his blood checked, and wrote: ‘No pain, no gain.’
The star also posted a topless photo of herself during training, admitting she was ‘excited’ to take part in the high-energy show once again, despite being 16 years her junior at the time.
Meanwhile, in other photos, Gary checked his health stats on the screen mid-run and tested the strength of his leg muscles on the Biodex leg extension machine.
Sharing the results of her spine lab evaluation, she wrapped up by joking: “Still in one piece,” along with several crying and laughing emojis.
Gary has sported a variety of different looks over the years and has previously revealed that he’s glad his weight gain has caused him to be less well-known.
Speaking in Take That’s Netflix documentary, Gary reflected on the band’s breakup in 1996: ‘BT It was so unbearable. You just wanted to crawl into a hole.
‘There was a period when I didn’t leave the house even once for about 13 months. A.I also started gaining weight. And the more weight I gained, the fewer people would recognize me.
‘I thought: “This is good, this is what I’ve been waiting for, to live a normal life.” So I went on a mission. If food got past me, I’d eat it… and I killed the pop star.
‘I would have nights where I would eat and eat and eat, but no matter how I felt about myself, the next day I felt ten times worse.’

Gary’s weight rose to 17 stone at the height of his fight, before things came to a head in 2003.
She previously recalled: ‘That was the day I went: ‘No, I’m not putting up with this anymore, I’m going to change. I want to change and I am determined that this is not who I have become.’
‘It only took me a few years to fall this far, but it took me years to get back to the person I wanted to be. Probably 10 years.”
