Nvidia to invest $100bn in OpenAI, firm behind ChatGPT

Companies announced that the US technology giant Nvidia will invest up to $ 100 billion (£ 73 billion) in Openai, the company behind Chatgpt.
Nvidia said that Openai will provide high -performance chips required for the processing power required by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to which it is an expert.
The last move of two high -profile technology companies in the global AI race, which is defined by NVIDIA as a “strategic partnership”, is a rival of China.
The announcement comes by NVIDIA, including an investment of $ 5 billion in Intel, after a series of high profile investments and Investment of 2 billion pounds to England AI sector.
Nvidia said that its latest investment would go to the growing data centers for Openai’s “new generation AI infrastructure”.
Jensen Huang, General Manager of NVIDIA, said the financing would “strengthen the next jump and the next intelligence age.”
Both companies already work with a wide collaborative network focusing on the “world’s most advanced AI infrastructure”, including Microsoft, Oracle, Softbank and Stargate.
Openai said that it has more than 700 million active users per week, and that its new partnership with NVIDIA will “improve the task of creating artificial general intelligence that benefit all humanity”.
He added that the details will be finalized in the coming weeks.
