Golden Jubilee batch alumni revisit Andhra University campus

Under the banner of “Friends of Golden Jubilee Gathering”, 1976-1978 graduates of Andhra University visited the university on Saturday. Founded in 1926, Andhra University completed its centenary on April 26 this year.

The group included former civil servants like P. Ramesh Kumar, former Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal, and MR Vijay Kumar, former Director General of Police, Government of Meghalaya, among other prominent figures.

Before transferring to their respective departments, the graduates toured their old hostels in Colleges of Arts and Sciences, including Nagarjuna, Satavahana and Sadharma Sadan, as well as the Balayogi Research Scholars Hostel, where they revisited classrooms and reminisced about their student days.

They were felicitated at an event held at the Peter Drucker Smart Seminar Hall, Department of Commerce and Management Studies, chaired by Professor Jaladi Ravi, Principal, College of Arts and Commerce.

The graduates also visited the Registrar’s Office and decorated the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar and concluded their visit with photographs at the AU@100 installation.
