Govt aims to reduce heat wave-linked deaths: Amit Shah

New Delhi: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday said the government is working to reduce deaths due to heatwave and bring it to zero. Shah was speaking at an NDRF event in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is not only working to reduce the risk of disasters but is also moving towards zero casualties.

“Wherever advance information about disasters is available through the meteorological department, the aim is to ensure the protection of life and property.”
