Govt. offers special package of incentives to Kadapa steel plant

On Sunday, the State Government announced a special incentive package to JSW AP Steel Limited for the establishment of a 2 MMTPA Steel Plant (ISS) in the village of Jammalamadugu Mandal Sunnapurallapalle in the Kadapa Region.
Secretary (Industries and Trade) in GO MS.NO.131 published by N. Yuvaraj, JSW Steel Limited proposed to establish ISS in two stages of 1 MMTPA production capacity.
In January 2026, JSW Steel aimed to start the construction of the first stage and start commercial production until April 2029.
The government allocates 1,100 acres of 5 lakh (OSB) per acre in Sunnapurallapalle and 1,100 acres in 200 acres in the same village in OIZ for the establishment of a district.
Specially prepared incentives are offered up to 50% of fixed capital investment (FCI) and the EP Industrial Development Policy of the project (4.0) 2024-29 is made applicable for more investment, depending on the investment of investment until December 2028.
Other incentives, 20% of the Crore to be paid for 10 years, 20% incentive up to Crore, electrical tax up to 1,092 CRORE in 10 years, Battup to LA 149.20 Crore in 3,730 CRORE investment and stamp 4.875 Crore.
The same encouragement of 50% of FCI is valid for the second investment phase for the installation of the additional 1 MMTPA steel plant by JSW Rayalaseema Steel Limited, but is also commissioned in accordance with the promised time schedules.
The facilities approved by the Government are: 400kV Double circuit power transmission line from the Jammalamadugu transformer center, a distribution transformer center, 268 MW power requirement, water supply pipeline, pumping infrastructure, ganticota reservoir, 2 TMC FT and MYLAVAM DAR, Gandikota reservoir FT from FT, four, 12 to-gam, a to-gam, 12, just as NH-67 and Muddanuru Station to the facility, a 12 km extension railway line (between proddatur-settlement station).
