Pankaj Tripathi’s Brother Injured In Axe Attack Over Land Row
Patna: Popular film and OTT actor Pankaj Tripathi’s brother was injured after he was allegedly attacked with an ax over a land dispute in his ancestral village in Bihar’s Gopalganj district, police said on Monday.
The incident took place in Belsand village in Madhopur police station area late on Sunday evening. “Bijendra Nath Tiwari was attacked with an ax over land dispute in his village,” ADG (Law and Order) Sudhanshu Kumar said.
Tiwari was admitted to Sadar Hospital in Gopalganj on Sunday night and later referred to a medical facility in Patna for treatment, officials said, adding that his condition is now stable.
According to a statement from the Gopalganj SP office, neighbor Rajesh Shah has been arrested in connection with the incident. Police suspect that the reason for the attack on Pankaj Tripathi’s brother might be a long-standing enmity.
FSL team investigated the scene. While the gun and blood-soaked cloth on the suspect were seized, the investigation continues. Meanwhile, Security measures have been increased in the village to prevent any negativities.
