‘MAGA Godfather’ Steve Bannon shoots down ‘bulls***’ presidential rumors amid fight for third Trump term

Trump’s former top advisor Steve Bannon is quietly making plans for the 2028 presidential election. axios.
Bannon, 72, has told allies he wants to shape the Republican agenda by uniting GOP lawmakers on key issues through an eventual campaign for the White House, insiders say.
They said Bannon wanted to defend his ‘America First’ perspective, which included a non-interventionist foreign policy, economic populism and opposition to ‘Big Tech’.
But the MAGA diehard vehemently denied the rumors, calling them “bulls***” and instead saying he was focused on supporting President Donald Trump’s election to a third term — even though that would be against the U.S. Constitution.
“We can’t have a country if we don’t get every ounce of fight and energy from President Trump,” Bannon told Axios this weekend.

The Daily Mail has contacted Bannon and the White House for comment.
This comes after both Trump and Bannon were photographed appearing to be intimate with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the latest release of the Epstein files by Congress.
Bannon was shown sitting with the deceased pedophile in his New York City home in one photo, while Trump was shown in several photos.
Epstein and Bannon Bannon had a professional relationship with Bannon in 2018 and 2019, when he provided media coaching to the financier as he tried to improve his public image.
The photos do not implicate any individual in Epstein’s crimes.
Bannon has been vocal about his plan to break with tradition by making Trump president again in 2028.
In an interview with The Economist in October, Bannon made clear how the Trump team would keep him in the White House.

‘We will announce at the appropriate time what the plan is, but there is a plan and President Trump will be president on the 28th,’ he said.
When asked about Constitutional law, Bannon assured interviewers that there were ways to get around this issue.
‘There are many different alternatives. ‘We will announce what the plan is at the appropriate time, but there is a plan.’
Bannon is confident the president will win re-election in 2028, no matter who Democrats run.

Trump has teased the idea of running for a third term but has not stated any concrete plans to do so.
He considered becoming a ‘three-term president’ at a National Rifle Association event in May.
The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, enacted in 1951, prohibits presidents from serving more than two total terms in office.
The rule states that ‘no person shall be elected to the office of President more than twice’ and ‘No person who has held the office of President or held the office of President for more than two years during the period during which another person was elected President may be elected to the office of President more than once.’
Since Trump was the 45th President of the United States from 2016 to 2020 and the 47th President since 2024, his term is expected to reach its maximum by 2028.
