Hamas ready for ceasefire but it must end war in Gaza

Hamas suggests that he was open to a cease -fire agreement with Israel, but he stopped accepting a US -backed proposal declared by President Donald Trump hours ago and insisted on the end of the war in Gaza in his long -standing position.
Trump said on Tuesday that Israel has accepted the 60 -day ceasefire conditions in Gaza and called Hamas to accept the agreement before the conditions deteriorated.
US leader Israel and Hamas have increased pressure to make a ceasefire and hostage agreement and end the war.
Trump said it would be used to end the war of 60 days, and that Israel would not accept until Hamas was defeated.
He said an agreement could come together next week.
However, the response of Hamas’s request for the end of the war, the latest proposal will be a real pause in the fight against questions raised.
Hamas official Taher Al-Nunu said that the militant group was “ready and serious about reaching an agreement”.
Hamas “was ready to accept any attempt that led to the end of the war”.
A Hamas delegation is expected to welcome Egypt and Qatar intermediaries in Cairo on Wednesday to discuss the proposal.
During the 21 -month war, cease -fire talks have repeatedly stopped whether the war would end as a part of any agreement.
Hamas said that Israel is willing to release the 50 hostages that are said to be survived to be full of full withdrawal from Gaza and to meet the end of the war.
Israel says that the war will only agree to end if Hamas surrendered, disarmed and exiles, if the group does something that they refuse to do.
An Israeli official said the last proposal required a 60 -day agreement with the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza and an increase in humanitarian aid to the region.
Authorized, mediators and the United States will provide assurance about the negotiations in the end of the war, but Israel has not committed it as part of the last proposal.
It was not clear how many hostages would be released as part of the agreement, but previous offers called for about 10 release.
Israel has not yet made a public comment on Trump’s announcement.
On Monday, Trump will host the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the talks at the White House, and the senior Netanyahu adviser Ron Dermer made negotiations with US officials on Gaza, Iran and other issues.
On Tuesday, Trump wrote on social media that Israel has accepted the conditions to conclude the 60 -day ceasefire, and we will work with all parties to end the war during this time. “
“Hopefully, Hamas gets this agreement for the good of the Middle East, because it won’t be better – just worse,” he said.
Even before the end of the longest ceasefire of the war in March, Trump has repeatedly released dramatic ultimatums in order to accept the release of more hostage to Hamas and the longer pauses, including the return of Gaza’s civilian population.
Nevertheless, Trump sees the current moment as a potential turning point in the brutal conflict, which leaves more than 56,000 dead in Palestinian territory.
The war began on October 7, 2023 when the militants led by Hamas attacked Southern Israel, killed 1200 people and took about 250 hostages.
The war has ruined the Palestinian territory and created a humanitarian crisis and pushed hundreds of thousands of people to hunger.
