The latest update from the fire department is as follows: “The incident began when a fire broke out in a combine harvester and initially spread to a field.
“As the incident developed, it spread to a second area, bringing the total area affected to approximately 30 hectares of cropland.
“Agricultural machinery was used to contain the fire and stop the fire from spreading further, while crews used multiple hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
“We would like to thank everyone who stayed away from the area while we dealt with the incident and our emergency services partners for their support.”
