Harrison Bader to get MRI after scooter accident worsens foot injury

Harrison Bader’s season took a turn for the worse.
The San Francisco Giants outfielder was limited to just 30 games due to injury, and the times he was on the field were anything but pleasant.
Bader is hitting just .170 with a .198 on-base percentage and a .358 slugging percentage while dealing with plantar fasciitis for the second time in his MLB career.

But this week, the Giants announced that Bader was involved in a “scooter accident” that further injured his foot “Saturday night/early Sunday morning.”
Bader is now preparing to have an MRI for the new injury.
Strangely, this isn’t the first time Bader has gotten into trouble with his scooter. He was suspended 19 games in 2014 for drunkenly crashing his scooter into a parked truck while playing at the University of Florida.

Bader is in the first year of a two-year deal worth $20 million with the Giants. The Giants are his seventh team.
The 2021 Gold Glove Award winner played for St. Louis before being traded to the New York Yankees in 2022. He spent nearly six full seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals. He then played briefly with the Cincinnati Reds before playing for the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies.
