Helicopters dump water as huge Norway fire destroys homes

More than 100 houses were destroyed by a massive fire in Drammen, southern Norway, rescue officials said.
Hundreds of people were evacuated from the area about 30 miles west of Oslo. No casualties or casualties have been reported so far.
Dozens of firefighters are working to extinguish the fire that has spread to the surrounding forest area. Local police said the fire was “still not under control.”
Although it was not immediately clear where and how the fire started, a Drammen Red Cross employee said the fire spread quickly due to weather conditions.
Thomas Evjen told Reuters: “It says something about the heat we’ve been experiencing lately. The air was very dry. So once the fire started, it spread quickly. That’s what we saw.”
