The photo was captioned: “Happy 13th Birthday, George!”

In the video, the second in line to the throne was seen playing cricket with his siblings, petting the family dog, enjoying a boat trip, playing on the beach and even exploring some rocks.

The caption read: “Thank you for the birthday wishes today for George!”

While many were quick to comment on how beautiful the newly released photo and video were, many didn’t notice the hidden detail in the birthday posts.

So, in the captions of social media posts, the prince was simply called “George” rather than “Prince George”.

This may mean that they use their child titles as little as possible, especially when they are still children and not working as royals.

This is evidenced by the fact that George, Charlotte and Louis do not use their royal titles at school, and instead use only their parents’ royal title as their surnames. For example, Prince George in the classroom is believed to be known as “George Wales”; this is a reference to the fact that his parents are the Prince and Princess of Wales.
