Holly Ramsay’s bridesmaids are mocked for having wedding bouquets that resemble spring onions in ‘tribute’ to her celebrity chef father

Holly Ramsay’s bridesmaids’ bouquets were compared to a bunch of spring onions, while online critics joked it was a tribute to her famous chef father.

The 25-year-old bride married Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, 31, in a ceremony at Bath Abbey on Saturday, followed by a lavish reception at Kin House.

Holly’s bridal party was joined by her sisters Megan, 27, Tilly, 24, and sister-in-law Bethany, 32, and the group arrived carrying bouquets of calla lilies.

Calla lilies are often used at funerals to symbolize purity, resurrection, and the transition to peace, but they also signify beauty and devotion that connect life and death.

But some noted that the chosen flowers looked strikingly bulbous, and they couldn’t help but attribute them to the prestigious chef.

An Instagram account called @betchesuk joked: ‘Gordon Ramsay carrying spring onions to the bridesmaids at his daughter’s wedding is very on-brand.’

Gordon’s cooking career began with classical training under top chefs and he opened his own restaurants, most notably Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which has three Michelin stars.

Some didn’t see the funny side of the joke and commented on the post that these were calla lilies instead of spring onions.

In response, the account doubled down and joked: @I don’t know why everyone keeps saying they’re ‘lilies’ when they’re clearly spring onions???’

Those who appreciated the joke said: ‘Looks more like celery to me’ and ‘Scallion!?’

The hilarious prank comes amid weeks of escalating drama between Holly’s family, the Ramsays, and Adam’s family, the Peatys.

In the latest episode, Adam’s ex-girlfriend Eirianedd Munroe reportedly called out his decision to change his surname after marrying Holly.

According to sources, Adam’s ex-wife, with whom he shares five-year-old son George, thinks it is ‘hypocritical’ for them both to take the name Ramsay Peaty.

Eirianedd is said to have viewed the surname change as a major blow after being rejected by Adam, who claimed that their son George both carried the surname.

The former couple welcomed their son in 2020 and called it quits in 2022, nine months after his stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

“It gives Eiri a bit of a feeling of wealth that Adam changed his name immediately but did not allow the same right to be given to his sons,” a source said. Sun.

‘Looks like Adam’s being a bit hypocritical. Holly had a very positive impact on Adam. They both care about George. Eiri knows George is lucky to have a stepmother like Holly.

‘Although he says Adam has a double standard when it comes to changing his name, he can’t blame him as a father.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Adam and Holly’s representatives for comment.

While an insider stated that Adem’s parents might be upset about the surname change, saying it was ‘not intentional’, the swimmer went after his wife, who wanted a double-barreled surname.

They added: ‘This will sound like a huge insult to Caroline and (Adam’s father) Mark but Adam just wants the circus to end.’

The online name change comes just days after the newlyweds tied the knot at Bath Abbey in front of 200 guests, excluding their side of the family.

The only member of Adam’s family to attend their special day was his sister Bethany, who was a bridesmaid; however, his father was allegedly offered a late invitation.

The huge rift between the two families has become increasingly apparent since Adam has not invited them over since and his mother has been left out of Holly’s hen.

But despite their problems with the Peaty family, the couple chose to use his surname in their new double-barreled moniker.

Adam’s heartbroken mother Caroline was said to have ‘lost it’ over having missed out on one of the happiest days of her life.

The entire Peaty family was not invited to the weddings, except for Adam’s sister Beth, who was a bridesmaid.

According to new reports on Sunday, Adam’s dad Mark was the only one besides Beth who wanted to attend the big day but was told he had to sit “behind the plus ones.”

Meanwhile, the bride’s father, Gordon, reportedly brutally attacked his new son-in-law’s parents during his speech.

Gordon, 59, waded into the Peaty family drama by saying his wife Tana ‘would be a good mother to them both’, according to a new report. Sun This also claims that Adam now blocks his family from texting him.

They reported that during his father’s bridal speech, Gordon commented on how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a ‘lucky man’, adding: ‘Look at Tana, that’s what you have to look forward to.’

The publication goes on to claim Gordon couldn’t resist a sly dig at Adam’s absent parents, telling daughter Holly: ‘It’s a shame you don’t have the same.’

Adam’s heartbroken mother Caroline, sitting 130 miles away at home in Staffordshire, was said to be ‘lost’ at having missed one of the happiest days of her life.

Speaking at the council house where Adam grew up, the 59-year-old told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I won’t get hurt like that again.

She told the Daily Mail she felt like Holly and Adam had ‘ripped my heart out’.

This newspaper can also reveal that moments before he walked into the abbey holding his son George’s hand, Adam was sent a devastating text message by his aunt Louise, who was also not invited to the wedding.

In it he wrote: ‘I hope you never experience the deep pain you caused your mother and that despite everything, she still loves you. Shame on you both. Shame.

‘This is your happiest day, and on every anniversary of your happiest day, remember that you hurt your mother so deeply that her soul screams.’

The roots of this terrible family conflict date back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly snubbed extended members of the Peaty family by not inviting them to their engagement party.

Caroline, who for years took her son to early morning training sessions, was not invited to Holly’s lavish hen party at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds last month, despite the bride’s mother Tana Ramsay and her friends, including Victoria Beckham, being at the extravagant bash.
