The Polish Prime Minister said there were “concerns” in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania over Moscow’s plan to test NATO’s response to armed provocation.
Donald Tusk said that “due to the changing nature of the war”, concerns about a possible Russian provocation in the coming months, especially in the Baltic, are increasing.
“I don’t want to scare anyone, but the coming months could be really critical because of the changing nature of the war. These concerns are particularly felt in the Baltic countries,” Mr. Tusk said at a press conference this week.
“Let’s not be afraid, we are preparing for various situations, but we cannot ignore them. We are aware of the threats thanks to the information we receive from our allies.”
