How do I weigh the pros and cons of being a stay-at-home parent?

In the last seasons, you can see this as a financial step back. Or, you can choose to see that your financial growth in the previous seasons is that you are currently what you are currently focusing on other parts of your life – and isn’t it all the money?

What are the other factors behind these options?

Most of the time, we think the decision is only about money, but usually there is more in the game. For example – sometimes getting away from work is not only a loss of money, but also about loss of identity or professional status or connection with your professional peers.

Maybe everyone around you has a job, which makes it difficult to connect with your friends as a full -time mother. Perhaps there were elements that would stay in full -time home that you didn’t enjoy for the first time.

Sometimes there are subconscious drivers that we are not aware of. They can direct us to make decisions that we are not happy with. For example – perhaps we choose an option to prevent the judiciary in the subconscious, but it is not the choice that will be compatible with our values.

Therefore, something that can help make less likely decisions that you will regret later becomes clear in the exact picture of the different factors in the game. This gives you the ability to solve problems with more clarity. For example, if you are struggling to maintain part-time work because it is too long to go and go, perhaps you will find a closer role in the house.

This then creates more flexibility for a number of options you can use, instead of ‘staying at home or continue to work’.

What are you optimizing for?

Sometimes people are surprised when they say – financial success is not the purpose of life. It is only one area worth paying attention to because it has the potential to significantly influence other areas. However, this does not mean that your life should always be optimized for financial success.

Your life should be optimized for the general quality of life. Therefore, there will be times when the best way to improve your quality of life will be a non-financial movement-even there will even be a retrospective financial movement.

This gets some courage, because it may depend on constant financial growth, and you can add a lot to ‘go backwards’. However, you should leave what is important for you in all seasons of life and the rest.

Each selection has financial or another cost of opportunity. Life is a constant election journey, and each choice closes the door for some other options. The key is to have every option you make and live like the best choice you make.
