Huge fire breaks out in London as all train services suspended | UK | News

On the evening of Sunday 24 May, a fire broke out near a railway station in London and all rail services were stopped. A photo taken from the scene in Cottrill Gardens, near Hackney Central, shows orange flames and black smoke billowing into the air.

London Fire Brigade says: “Eight fire trucks and around 60 firefighters are tackling a fire at Cottrill Gardens in Hackney. A static caravan and two cars are on fire, as well as part of the grass embankment.”

Meanwhile, Transport for London (TfL) said the Weaver Line was suspended due to a fire alarm. An update on their website states: “No service whilst responding to a fire alarm in Hackney Central.”

The Mildmay Line was also partially suspended due to serious delays. Travelers should allow extra time for their trip and be prepared for delays.
