I was Father Chris Riley’s biographer. I’m so sad, but glad he got his dying wish
It was terrible to listen to the inhuman stories of parents for their children. As a result, it helped me to understand how many children went the road; A lesson for all of us.
But at other times, I was encouraged, inspired, and yes, I went back to tears because this misery returned to victory, and thanks to the intervention of Father Chris Riley, the children took their lives back and built better.
After 2004 Tsunami, he took his eyes further away. He saw images on the television of the children who were trapped in the waves, floating for their lives, and then wandered through the Banda Aceh streets of Indonesia, who was orphaned in the flood. He went right away, then the Muslim natives had to withdraw their experiences that Christians took their children. Still, it wasn’t in his vocabulary to give up. The West returned to Sydney and asked the Muslim leaders there to make an entry to him.

Then he tried again and sent a lot of food and clothing, defeating all the great charities trying to fly in help. I accompanied him to the banda aceh. It was not used so much to travel that instead of a suitcase, he constantly lost his hats and plastic bags. And in his programs, I looked in awe while he was setting up a tent orphanage for children assigned by the young homeless Australians, watched by him every night, drank strange (hidden) cigar.
Later, this orphanage became one of the solid bricks, the story of my next book with Chris Riley. The world beyond tears.
After that, he asked me to write another book to teach people how to raise their children better. He felt that there was a lot to give with many academic articles and report about the welfare of the child, and with a very practical experience. Publishers do not agree. Time had changed, and the priests and children were no longer a good combination.

But I learned from him and refused to give up. Finally, a publisher accepted. I went to Chris, I hope you will be excited. “Which book?” he asked, confused.
He saved his next project to a group of children. Nevertheless, Growing wonderful kids He finally appeared in 2015 12 years after the first book and loved him.

Like all the children passing through their programs and all their families, I will miss him very much. Father Chris was a true hero of his time and was determined determined to the end, I’m sorry, but I’m happy, he got his last wish.
