Tesco customers are being urged to use forgotten Clubcard points and exchange them for big savings on easyJet holidays.

The supermarket chain teamed up with easyJet holidays last year to celebrate 30 years of its Clubcard programme. Now shoppers can save significant money on their next holiday by becoming a Clubcard Rewards Partner.

One Clubcard point equals 1p, so every 100 points you collect means you spend £1 at Tesco. But Clubcard points are worth twice as much with the supermarket’s reward partners; so if you have a bunch of points in your account that you forgot about, it’s worth checking your vouchers and swapping them to spend with a rewards partner instead.

There are over 100 rewards partners to choose from but what shoppers may not realize is that points can be redeemed for a holiday abroad, including easyJet holidays.

Tesco customers can exchange up to £300 worth of Clubcard vouchers with easyJet holidays, which will give you double the £600 credit you can spend on a package holiday.

Your easyJet holiday credit will be valid for six months from the date you exchange your Clubcard vouchers and you can use the credit towards a new holiday booking or towards any outstanding balance on an existing booking.

Given that EasyJet is currently running a huge January sale with up to £400 off package holidays, now is the ideal time to earn back any Clubcard points you may have forgotten about and cash them in to double their value.

Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert (MSE) encouraged shoppers to swap Clubcard vouchers for travel, hotels and more, sharing this tip in this week’s newsletter: “If you collect Clubcard vouchers at Tesco, 500 points are usually worth £5 to spend in store. But spend them correctly and those 500 points could be worth £10.”

“This is about replacing Clubcard vouchers with redeemable codes Clubcard Rewards Partners about travel, food, days out and more. For example, £5 in Clubcard vouchers gets you £10 which you can use to spend on:

  • APH Airport Parking
  • european camp
  • Hotels.com
  • LeShuttle (formerly Eurotunnel LeShuttle)
  • P&O Cruises
  • EasyJet holidays

“You can also exchange £1.50 vouchers for 300 Virgin points to use at Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.”

Your easyJet credit can’t just be used towards flight purchases, additional products such as travel insurance or airport parking, or any other products easyJet holidays offer.

The Tesco Clubcard holder must be one of the traveling parties in the holiday booking and you cannot share or combine your easyJet holiday account or credit with others.

If you cancel or change your holiday booking, your credit will not be refunded towards Clubcard vouchers or Clubcard points.

Tesco said: “Please note that when you exchange your Clubcard vouchers for easyJet holiday credit, this will not be refunded. Unused easyJet holiday credits will not be refunded, credited or exchanged, so only replace the amount you need.”

“The maximum amount you can exchange for Clubcard vouchers in a 12-month period is £300 (£600 easyJet holiday credit). The 12-month period starts from the date you exchange your Clubcard vouchers for easyJet holiday credit.”
