IIT Bombay graduate joined Meta with million dollar salary, quit in 5 months – Who is he?
Rishabh Agarwal was hired by Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Meta, to join a team of AI researchers for ambitious super -laboratory with a salary of one million dollars. Among the ongoing technology giants were among the many Google Deepmind employees boiled by meta in the middle of a AI race.
Agarwal, who was cut until August 25, announced that it was the last week in Meta Superintelligigence Labs.

In an article in X, Rishabh Agarwal made a hard decision from Meta.
“This was a difficult decision not to continue with the new Super -Superintelligigence TBD laboratory, especially considering the talent and calculation intensity in @Aiatmeta.
“Mark and @alexandr_wang’s super -gold team was incredibly challenging to build it. But I chose to follow Mark’s own advice:“ The biggest risk you can take in such a fast world does not take any risk, ”he said.
For five months of his term of office in Meta, Agarwal and his team pushed the post -training limit for “thinking” models.

Five months ago, Mark Zuckerberg boiled Indian Techie Rishabh Agarwal to join him in Meta Superintelligigence laboratories of Sundar Pichai’s Google Deepmind.
Rishabh Agarwal graduated from IIt Bombay and has the degree of computer science and engineering. During the undergraduate lesson, he conducted research on “approaching the assessment function in Scripble”.
Agarwal continued his doctorate in the field of artificial intelligence at the Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute in Canada.
He joined Saavn as a research intern on the search and algorithms department, and later worked as an internship at the Tower Research Capital’s Algoritma Trade team.
Agarwal joined Google Brain as a senior research scientist in June 2018 and stayed there until 2023. The research focused on learning deep reinforcement (Deep RL).
After this mission, he joined Google Deepmind, a graduate of IT Bombay. There he worked for two years of reinforcement learning (RL), self -development and distillation in large language models (LLMS).
According to reports, Meta Superintelligigence joined Labs with a salary of approximately $ 1 million in April.
Rishabh Agarwal is also an assistant professor at the University of McGill.
