Andhra Leaders Condole Demise Of Telangana Poet Ande Sri

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and state Congress chief YS Sharmila on Monday met leaders from Telugu states to condole the death of famous poet and lyricist Ande Sri.

Ande Sri, author of Telangana’s iconic state song ‘Jaya Jaya he Telangana’, passed away this morning in Hyderabad.

Naidu described Ande Sri as an outstanding poet who gave the State song to Telangana and called his death an “irreparable loss” to the Telugu literary world.

“Deeply saddened by the death of renowned poet Ande Sri, who gave Telangana its state song,” Naidu said in a post on X. he said.

Sharmila also paid tribute to Ande Sri, calling him a folk poet who awakened society with his words.

He prayed for the peace of his soul and the strength of his family.
