India Extends Helping Hand To Afghanistan, 21 Tonnes Of Earthquake Relief Materials Reach Kabul | India News

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar reported that Indian earthquake aid to Afghanistan on Tuesday reached Kabul by air. Hygiene kits, blankets, sleeping bags and other foundations, including 21 tons of relief material added.

Previously, the powerful earthquake that hit East Afghanistan on Sunday night has been reported to have claimed that more than 1,400 life. In the meantime, rescue operations continue and a search for survivors continues.

The earthquake hit the eastern part of Afghanistan on August 31 at 23.47 (local time) and took place at a depth of eight kilometers, 27 km northeast of Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar.

PM Modi, Jaishankar reaction after the Afghanistan earthquake

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow on the destructive earthquake in Afghanistan and made India ready to provide humanitarian aid.

In the meantime, Eam Jaishankar, Afghanistan’s destructive earthquake in the state of Kunar expressed deep concerns. He conveyed solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and made sure India’s help at that time.

EAM spoke to Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan, and expressed his condolences on the loss of life in the earthquake that hit the country caused by the war on Sunday night. Wishing early healing to the injured reiterated his full support to Afghanistan at India’s grief time and said that the new Delhi would send food and aid to acceptance.

Jaishankar said that India has delivered 1,000 family tents in Kabul.

Afghanistan is vulnerable to earthquakes, as they sit on a few fault lines where Indian and Eurasian plates meet.
