Five-Layer Security, Drones, Snipers, Commandos And A Fortress-On-Wheels: India Readies For Putin’s Visit | India News

Putin’s Visit to India: Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi tomorrow evening to welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit. Although the visit has faced some delays and sparked criticism from some Western countries, the Indian government is doing its best to ensure the event goes down in history. Preparations have been stepped up at many levels, from security to logistics, to ensure President Putin’s stay is smooth and safe.
From Drones to Commandos
According to reports, ahead of the summit, authorities have prepared a robust five-layer security framework. This includes elite commandos from India’s National Security Guard (NSG), snipers along possible routes, drone surveillance, jammers that block unauthorized signals, and AI-powered tracking systems. These measures are complemented by high-tech facial recognition cameras to maintain constant surveillance. More than forty senior Russian security personnel arrived in Delhi to coordinate with the NSG and local police, ensuring that every movement of the presidential convoy was tracked in real-time and any threat was neutralized immediately.

Coordinated Security
The security detail is carefully compartmentalized. The outer layers are manned by NSG and Delhi Police. Inside this ring, Russia’s Presidential Security Service will take over. In all interactions involving PM Modi, commandos from India’s Special Protection Group (SPG) will join the inner circle. Meanwhile, every location, from the hotel where President Putin will stay to possible improvisations in his itinerary, is being thoroughly examined. Authorities leave nothing to chance.
Armored Limousine from Moscow
A notable feature of this high-security arrangement is the arrival of the Russian President’s own state car, the heavily armored limousine known as the Aurus Senat, which was flown specifically for this visit. The vehicle adds a layer of next-level protection that underscores the importance placed on the guest’s safety and dignity.
Diplomatic Agenda
India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officially confirmed the visit in a statement last Friday and announced that President Putin will be in India between 4-5 December 2025. According to the MEA, the summit will include bilateral meetings between Putin and Prime Minister Modi and a state banquet hosted by the President of India. The visit is planned as an opportunity to review progress in the India-Russia “Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership”. The leaders are expected to exchange views on regional and global challenges and determine priorities for cooperation in defense, energy, trade and more.
